Bert's Restaurant
.
.
.
Bert's Restaurant is filmed on the patio of a private residence on Roscarrock Hill. The production only has access to the patio, so they built a set out at the farm for the restaurant kitchen. The house is called "Halwyn" and was originally a shipyard built in the mid 1800s.

Crab & Lobster
.
.
The entrance to the local pub (Crab & Lobster) is usually through the door to the left of The Mote (red circle below). Most of the time, The Golden Lion Pub in Port Isaac (located behind The Mote) is used as the interior (however, in series 2 and 4, they shot most of the interiors in other pubs). For Series 3 they shot all of the interiors at The Golden Lion Pub
.
.
Although everyone enters the Crab & Lobster through the doorway off the Platt (small circle at right), they usually end up in the interior of The Golden Lion (large circle at right). The sign below appears to indicate the entrance to the pub, and we have seen them use that blue door. But the blue door is actually the entrance to a holiday rental (Tides Reach). Even during the years that the production had to use the interior of a different out of town pub, if a balcony scene was required they used the balcony of The Golden Lion. You can see people on the balcony at the lower left of the building.

Below are interior and exterior shots of The Golden Lion. The entrance to the pub is actually on Fore Street, which is the opposite side of the building from where we see people enter the Crab & Lobster from the Platt. Above you can see the three scenes filmed in the pub for Series 3. In E4, there is a scene with Pauline gambling in the pub and then later in the episode Louisa picks up a drink from the bar and sits out on the balcony where she observes Carrie Wilson leaving the surgery. In E5, Pauline is again gambling in the pub and Al is jealous seeing her with Mick.

For Series 2 & 3, the Chemist was located in a building called "Little Dolphins". This building is at the corner of Middle Street and Dolphin Street and you often saw Martin or Louisa walking up Middle Street from the Platt to get to the Chemist.
.
It's obvious that the interiors were filmed in the same building because you can usually see down Middle Street through the open shop door. Also notice that in the scene above you can see the large multi-paned window that looks out to Middle Street. In the two pictures at the right you can see the views up and down Middle Street from the shop. The top picture looks toward the Platt. You can see the large shop window on the right and the window of the cottage across on the left - the same window that shows in the scene above. In the picture below you are looking up Middle Street and you see the large shop window on the left.
