The village of Port Isaac has been a busy port harbour since the Middle Ages

In researching the filming locations for Doc Martin, I found myself drawn to the older areas of the village
around the harbour.  Frustration ensued when I discovered that some of the more interesting lanes are not
covered by Google Street View because they are not accessible to motor vehicles.  So I began to collect all
the images I could find online and asked a few friends who were travelling to Port Isaac to get as many
pictures as possible from the older sections of the village.

I have assembled all of this information and included information and links to the B&Bs and cottages that are
for let to Port Isaac visitors.  I hope this will be a good reference for anyone planning a trip.

For the lanes that aren't covered by Google Street View, I created my own little "Portwenn Online Street View".
Just click on the little symbols                            and you can take a stroll down these less traveled paths.

For any of these properties that were used in the filming of Doc Martin, I included that information as well as
screen captures.

Finally, if anyone has better quality photos of any of these beautiful buildings, or any information on their
history, please let me know.  I plan to add more information on these properties over time.
